Hotkeys work in any Windows app, and you can change every one in Settings.
Change colors, opacity, size and corner radius. A live preview shows each change before you save.
Switch on a focused mode with its own border color, so you can see at a glance when you're in it.
HINT connects to your own ChatGPT account. You pay for HINT once, nothing monthly.
A normal Windows installer. It sets itself up for your user and adds the Edge WebView2 runtime if you need it.

Run the installer. It needs no admin rights and can add a desktop shortcut.
Open HINT Settings, go to AI Model and choose Sign in. When it turns green, you're connected.
Press F4 to open the overlay and type, or press PageDown to send a screenshot of what you're looking at.
Press PageUp to hide HINT. Press it again when you need it. Ctrl+PageDown quits.

HINT for Windows 10/11
One-time payment
HINT works only on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). It does not run on Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android or Chromebook, and there are no plans for a version for them. Please do not buy it for those devices.
No. HINT works through your ChatGPT sign-in, not the paid OpenAI API. There is no API key to set up and no per-question billing from HINT.

When you press the screenshot key, HINT saves the picture to a Screenshots folder on your own PC and attaches it to your own ChatGPT chat, so ChatGPT can see it. We never receive your screenshots or your chats. You can clear the saved pictures any time with the Clear hotkey.
Yes. Every hotkey can be changed in HINT Settings. Function keys, Insert, Delete and the Page keys work alone or with Ctrl. Letters, numbers and symbols need Ctrl, so normal typing in your other apps is never affected.
